أخبار لايت: المملكة تؤكد التزامها بوحدة الصف الخليجي ودعم استقرار القطاع السياحي – أخبار السعودية

شاركت المملكة، ممثلةً بوزير السياحة أحمد بن عقيل الخطيب، في الاجتماع الاستثنائي لوزراء السياحة بدول مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية، الذي عُقد أمس عبر الاتصال المرئي لبحث تداعيات المستجدات الراهنة في المنطقة على القطاع السياحي، وبحث سبل تنسيق استجابة خليجية مشتركة تعزّز الاستقرار والثقة وتضمن استمرارية النشاط السياحي.

وعكس الاجتماع التزاماً خليجياً موحّداً بتكثيف التنسيق والعمل الجماعي لمواجهة التحديات الحالية، بما يعزّز ثقة الزوّار والمستثمرين، ويرفع جاهزية الوجهات السياحية في دول المجلس للتعامل مع التطورات.

وأكد وزير السياحة حرص المملكة الدائم على وحدة الصف الخليجي وتكامل الجهود الإقليمية، مشيراً إلى استمرار دعمها لدول المجلس في عدد من المجالات ذات الصلة، من بينها التنسيق اللوجستي والربط الجوي، بما يسهم في تعزيز استقرار المنطقة واستمرارية حركة الزوار والمسافرين.

وقال الوزير الخطيب على هامش الاجتماع: «تظل المملكة ملتزمة بالتعاون الوثيق مع الأشقاء في دول مجلس التعاون، ضمن نهج يقوم على التنسيق المستمر والعمل المشترك. ونواصل دعمنا للجهود الخليجية الرامية إلى الحفاظ على استقرار القطاع السياحي، وتعزيز جاهزيته، وترسيخ الثقة بالمنطقة خلال المرحلة الحالية».

وشهد الاجتماع مشاركة منظمة الأمم المتحدة للسياحة، ممثلةً بأمينها العام شيخة بنت ناصر النويس، لبحث آفاق تعزيز التعاون ودعم التعافي السريع للقطاع.

The Kingdom, represented by Minister of Tourism Ahmed bin Aqeel Al-Khateeb, participated in the extraordinary meeting of the Ministers of Tourism of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, which was held yesterday via video conference to discuss the implications of current developments in the region on the tourism sector, and to explore ways to coordinate a joint Gulf response that enhances stability and confidence and ensures the continuity of tourism activity.

The meeting reflected a unified Gulf commitment to intensify coordination and collective action to face current challenges, thereby enhancing the confidence of visitors and investors, and increasing the readiness of tourist destinations in the member states to deal with developments.

The Minister of Tourism emphasized the Kingdom’s constant commitment to Gulf unity and regional integration efforts, noting its continued support for the member states in several relevant areas, including logistical coordination and air connectivity, which contributes to enhancing the stability of the region and the continuity of visitor and traveler movement.

Minister Al-Khateeb stated on the sidelines of the meeting: “The Kingdom remains committed to close cooperation with our brothers in the Gulf Cooperation Council, based on a continuous coordination approach and joint work. We continue to support Gulf efforts aimed at maintaining the stability of the tourism sector, enhancing its readiness, and reinforcing confidence in the region during this current phase.”

The meeting also witnessed the participation of the United Nations World Tourism Organization, represented by its Secretary-General Sheikha bint Nasser Al-Nuaimi, to discuss prospects for enhancing cooperation and supporting the rapid recovery of the sector.
