اكتمل عقد المنتخبات المتأهلة لمونديال 2026، بعد إعلان ⁠المنتخب العراقي تأهله رسميا إثر فوزه المستحق 2-1 على منتخب ​بوليفيا في نهائي ‌الملحق العالمي الذي أقيم في مدينة مونتيري المكسيكية، ليعود إلى البطولة بعد 40 عامًا ​من الغياب، وبذلك يرتفع عدد المنتخبات العربية إلى 8 منتخبات من قارتي آسيا وإفريقيا، بواقع أربعة منتخبات لكل قارة وهي: (الأردن، قطر، السعودية، العراق، مصر، الجزائر، تونس، المغرب)، إذ كما تسجل هذه النسخة مشاركة عدد كبير من منتخبات قارتي آسيا وإفريقيا، مع حضور عربي لافت يشكل النسبة الأكبر، وفق التقرير الذي بثه موقع الـ«RT».

هذا التواجد المكثف لم يعد مجرد مشاركة، بل يعكس نقلة نوعية في مستوى الكرة العربية، سواء من حيث التخطيط أو تطوير المواهب، ما يضع هذه المنتخبات أمام مسؤولية تقديم أداء يوازي حجم هذا الحضور التاريخي.

وتعد منتخبات تونس والمغرب والسعودية الأكثر حضورا في تاريخ كأس العالم برصيد 7 مشاركات لكل منها، تليها الجزائر (5 مشاركات)، ومصر (4 مشاركات). في المقابل، يواصل كل من العراق وقطر تثبيت حضورهما بالمشاركة الثانية، بينما تسجل بعض المنتخبات حضورا محدودا مثل الكويت والإمارات، ويستعد المنتخب الأردني لظهوره الأول تاريخيا.

The lineup of teams qualified for the 2026 World Cup has been completed, following the official announcement of the Iraqi national team’s qualification after their deserving 2-1 victory over the Bolivian national team in the final of the global playoff held in Monterrey, Mexico. This marks their return to the tournament after 40 years of absence, bringing the total number of Arab teams to 8 from Asia and Africa, with four teams from each continent: (Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Egypt, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco). This edition also sees a significant participation from many teams from Asia and Africa, with a notable Arab presence making up the largest percentage, according to a report broadcast by the “RT” website.

This intense presence is no longer just participation; it reflects a qualitative leap in the level of Arab football, both in terms of planning and talent development, placing these teams under the responsibility of delivering performances that match the significance of this historic presence.

The teams of Tunisia, Morocco, and Saudi Arabia have the most appearances in World Cup history, each with 7 participations, followed by Algeria (5 participations) and Egypt (4 participations). Meanwhile, both Iraq and Qatar continue to establish their presence with their second participation, while some teams have a limited presence, such as Kuwait and the UAE, and the Jordanian national team is preparing for its historic first appearance.
