وختم السهيمي قائلاً: في هذه الاستمرارية عبر الأعوام الماضية، استطاع «نادي جدة الثقافي» أن يواصل المسيرة في التعامل مع استمرارية الملتقى، وتابعت «جمعية أدبي جدة» الحفاظ على هذه المسيرة بالعطاء المستمر لملتقى قراءة النص، وتنوّع محاوره في كل عام، وأجادت في هذا الملتقى الراصد لتحولات الأجناس الأدبية في الأدب المحلي.

​• وعلى النسق ذاته المُشيد بـ«قراءة النص» تُخصص الدكتورة مها العتيبي مشاركتها حول دورة هذا العام بقولها: يأتي «ملتقى قراءة النص» في دورته الـ22 الذي تُنظمه جمعية أدبي جدة، بوصفه مساحةً حيويةً للحوار والتأمل في آفاق الأدب السعودي في ظل رؤية المملكة 2030.

إن اختيار هذا العنوان يعكس وعياً عميقاً بأهمية الأدب في مواكبة التحولات الكبرى، ليس بوصفه مجرد تعبير جمالي، بل كقوةٍ تُسهم في تشكيل الوعي وتعزيز الهوية والانفتاح على آفاق إنسانية أوسع.

وقد أثبتت جمعية أدبي جدة عبر مسيرتها الثقافية قدرتها على احتضان التجارب الإبداعية، وتفعيل الحراك الأدبي.

وتجمل العتيبي حديثها قائلةً: يُمثل هذا الملتقى فرصةً نوعيةً للكتّاب والنقاد والمهتمين لتبادل الرُّؤى حول تحولات النص الأدبي، واستشراف مستقبله في ظل البيئة الثقافية الحديثة.

​• مُشاركة الدكتور علي بن محمد الحمود لم تخرج في إطارها عن سابقيه، إذ يقول: يأتي ملتقى قراءة النص امتداداً لجهود نادي جدة الأدبي بعد تحوّله إلى جمعيةِ أدبي جدة، وكان النادي قد أقام 21 ملتقى بانتظام، ونشرَ أبحاث تلك الملتقيات. وفي هذا العام تأتي جمعيةُ أدبي جدة، لاستكمال المسيرة، واستثمار الإرث النقدي الذي تَشكَّلَ في الملتقيات السابقة.

وتابع الحمود: أُشيرُ إلى أن الملتقيات السابقة شكلت إرثاً نقدياً يندرجُ ضمنَ مدونة النقد في المملكة العربية السعودية، وتقدمُ صورةً واقعيةً عن النقد في بلادنا، ولا يمكنُ لدارس النقد في المملكة تجاوزُ هذا الإرث.

ونحنُ موعودون بملتقى نقدي يليقُ بالحدث، ويُثري الموضوع، خصوصاً أن محاور الملتقى تكشفُ عن المتوقع والمأمول من هذا الملتقى.

ويختمُ الحمود حديثه مزجياً خالصُ التقدير لجمعية أدبي جدة على هذا الحراك الثقافي والنقدي الذي يتماهى مع جهود وزارة الثقافة وبقية الجهات الحكومية التي تعملُ على تحقيق رؤية المملكة المباركة.

​• ويرى الدكتور ناصر سليم الحميدي أنه «في ظل التحولات الكبرى، التي تشهدها الرؤية السعودية 2030، لم يعد الأدب ترفاً ثقافياً يقتصر على جمال القول وفتنة البيان، بل غدا عنصراً حيّاً في بناء الوعي، وتشكيل الإنسان، وصياغة ملامح الهُويّة. فالثقافة في جوهرها روح الأمم، والأدب هو الصوت الذي ينقل نبض تلك الروح ويجعلها حاضرة في ضمير المجتمع وذاكرته»، متابعاً: ومن هنا تتبدّى أهمية الدور الذي تضطلع به المؤسسات الأدبية في المملكة، وفي طليعتها جمعية أدبي جدة التي امتدّ نشاطها منذ تأسيس نادي جدة الأدبي الثقافي عام 1395هـ/1975، فكانت مناراً للحراك الثقافي ومنبراً للكتّاب، والشعراء، والباحثين. وقد حافظت هذه المؤسسة على تقليد علمي راسخ تمثّل في إقامة «ملتقى قراءة النص»، الذي أصبح فضاءً للحوار النقدي، والتفاعل الفكري بين الأدباء والباحثين.

​• ويقول الدكتور منصور المهوس: من جديد يُطل علينا «ملتقى قراءة النص» بجمعية أدبي جدة، وهو امتدادٌ لمحفل سنوي بات يمثل ركيزةً نقديةً ترصد بوعي وتحليل مسارات الإبداع السعودي. وبقدر ما نعتز بهذا الإرث الثقافي الذي رسَّخه النادي الأدبي والثقافي بجدة (سابقاً)، جمعية أدبي جدة (حالياً)، فإننا نعتز اليوم بالآفاق الرحبة التي يفتحها الملتقى لمناقشة موضوعه الجوهري «آفاقُ الأدب السعودي في ظل رؤية المملكة 2030».. إننا نعيش مرحلة تاريخية استثنائية، لم تعد فيها الثقافة مجرد ترف فكري، بل غدت ركيزة أساسية في بناء الإنسان وتنمية المكان.

​• أما الكاتب رضا الشربيني فيقول: بين عراقةِ «النادي» وطموح «الجمعية»، يظلُّ «أدبي جدة» الحاضنة التاريخية التي لم تتوقفْ يوماً عن رعاية المبدعين، والجسرَ الذي يربطُ ببراعةٍ بينَ أصالة الموروث وتطلعات التحديث. واليوم، تأتي الدورةُ الـ22 لملتقى «قراءة النص» لترسخ هذا الدور الريادي، مؤكدةً قدرة هذا الكيان على مواكبة الحراك الثقافي المتسارع في وطنِنا.

إنَّ اختيار «آفاق الأدب السعودي في ظل رؤية 2030» عنواناً لهذا الملتقى، ليس مجرد اختيارٍ موضوعي، بل هو وعيٌ عميقٌ بالتحول الحضاري الذي وضعتْ فيه القيادةُ الرشيدةُ الثقافة في قلب التنمية الشاملة. نحن اليوم أمام مشهد إبداعي جديد، مَنحَ المثقف فضاءً أرحبَ من التمكين والدعم المؤسسي.

A number of intellectuals and academic critics praised the significant effort that the literary and cultural club in Jeddah has continued to exert, even after its transformation into the Jeddah Literary Association, especially in organizing its activity schedule and its commitment to holding the “Text Reading Forum” on time every year. They pointed out that this forum, in all its previous editions, has managed to “fill a critical gap through its diverse themes each year,” making it a distinctive mark of “Literary Jeddah.” At the same time, they commended the choice of the topic “Horizons of Saudi Literature in Light of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030,” considering this choice to “reflect a deep awareness of the importance of literature in keeping pace with major transformations, not merely as a form of aesthetic expression, but as a force that contributes to shaping consciousness, enhancing identity, and opening up to broader human horizons,” raising expectations for a critical forum that befits the event and enriches the topic, especially since the forum’s themes reveal what is anticipated and hoped for from this gathering.

The importance of the forum was embodied by Dr. Saleh bin Ahmed Al-Suhaimi, who stated: “The Text Reading Forum” is one of the most important local and Arab gatherings in literary and contemporary criticism. Since its inception, it has filled a critical gap through its diverse themes each year, and with the renewed editions in each cycle, Saudi and Arab critical figures contribute to shaping critical visions through their various studies and enriching critical discussions, and the forum has enriched the critical scene with important critical books and scientific studies at both individual and institutional levels.

Al-Suhaimi concluded by saying: In this continuity over the past years, the “Cultural Club of Jeddah” has managed to continue its journey in dealing with the continuity of the forum, and the “Jeddah Literary Association” has maintained this journey with continuous contributions to the Text Reading Forum, diversifying its themes each year, and excelling in this forum that tracks the transformations of literary genres in local literature.

In the same vein praising “Text Reading,” Dr. Maha Al-Otaibi dedicates her participation regarding this year’s edition by saying: The “Text Reading Forum” in its 22nd edition, organized by the Jeddah Literary Association, comes as a vital space for dialogue and reflection on the horizons of Saudi literature in light of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

This title choice reflects a deep awareness of the importance of literature in keeping pace with major transformations, not merely as a form of aesthetic expression, but as a force that contributes to shaping consciousness, enhancing identity, and opening up to broader human horizons.

The Jeddah Literary Association has proven through its cultural journey its ability to embrace creative experiences and activate literary movement.

Al-Otaibi summarizes her talk by saying: This forum represents a qualitative opportunity for writers, critics, and interested parties to exchange views on the transformations of literary texts and to anticipate their future in light of the modern cultural environment.

Dr. Ali bin Mohammed Al-Hamoud’s participation did not deviate from the framework of his predecessors, as he states: The Text Reading Forum comes as an extension of the efforts of the Jeddah Literary Club after its transformation into the Jeddah Literary Association. The club had held 21 forums regularly and published the research from those forums. This year, the Jeddah Literary Association comes to continue the journey and invest in the critical legacy that has formed in previous forums.

Al-Hamoud continued: I would like to point out that the previous forums have formed a critical legacy that falls within the canon of criticism in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, providing a realistic picture of criticism in our country, and no student of criticism in the Kingdom can overlook this legacy.

We are promised a critical forum that befits the event and enriches the topic, especially since the forum’s themes reveal what is anticipated and hoped for from this gathering.

He concludes his remarks with sincere appreciation for the Jeddah Literary Association for this cultural and critical movement that aligns with the efforts of the Ministry of Culture and other governmental bodies working to achieve the blessed Vision of the Kingdom.

Dr. Nasser Saleem Al-Humaidi believes that “in light of the major transformations witnessed by the Saudi Vision 2030, literature is no longer a cultural luxury limited to the beauty of expression and the allure of rhetoric, but has become a vital element in building consciousness, shaping humanity, and crafting the features of identity. Culture, in its essence, is the spirit of nations, and literature is the voice that conveys the pulse of that spirit and keeps it present in the conscience and memory of society,” adding: From here, the importance of the role played by literary institutions in the Kingdom becomes evident, foremost among them the Jeddah Literary Association, whose activities have extended since the establishment of the Jeddah Literary and Cultural Club in 1395 AH/1975, making it a beacon for cultural movement and a platform for writers, poets, and researchers. This institution has maintained a solid academic tradition represented in holding the “Text Reading Forum,” which has become a space for critical dialogue and intellectual interaction among writers and researchers.

Dr. Mansour Al-Mahous states: Once again, the “Text Reading Forum” comes to us from the Jeddah Literary Association, extending the annual gathering that has become a critical pillar that consciously and analytically tracks the paths of Saudi creativity. As much as we cherish this cultural legacy established by the literary and cultural club in Jeddah (formerly), and the Jeddah Literary Association (currently), we take pride today in the vast horizons that the forum opens for discussing its core topic “Horizons of Saudi Literature in Light of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.” We are living in an exceptional historical phase, where culture is no longer merely an intellectual luxury, but has become a fundamental pillar in building humanity and developing the place.

As for writer Reda Al-Sharbin, he says: Between the heritage of the “club” and the ambition of the “association,” “Literary Jeddah” remains the historical incubator that has never ceased to nurture creators, and the bridge that skillfully connects the authenticity of heritage with the aspirations of modernization. Today, the 22nd edition of the “Text Reading Forum” comes to solidify this pioneering role, affirming this entity’s ability to keep pace with the accelerating cultural movement in our homeland.

The choice of “Horizons of Saudi Literature in Light of Vision 2030” as the title for this forum is not merely an objective choice, but a deep awareness of the civilizational transformation in which the wise leadership has placed culture at the heart of comprehensive development. Today, we are faced with a new creative scene that has granted the intellectual a broader space for empowerment and institutional support.
