كشفت وزارة التعليم ارتفاع معدلات الالتحاق بالتعليم ما بعد الثانوي، إذ بلغت نسبة الالتحاق بالتعليم العالي 83.88%، مع تحقيق تكافؤ بين الجنسين بنسبة 1.01، وذلك وفق بيانات معهد اليونسكو للإحصاء.

واستعرض وكيل وزارة التعليم للتخطيط المهندس سعد الغامدي الجهود السعودية في مجال التعليم وقال إن إلى وصول عدد المستفيدين من خدمات «ادرس في السعودية» إلى أكثر من 200 ألف طالب دولي وان الجهود مستمرة لمنح التراخيص لجامعات دولية مرموقة لافتتاح فروع لها في المملكة

وجاء الإعلان خلال مشاركة وفد الوزارة في الفعالية رفيعة المستوى لإطلاق «تقرير رصد التعليم العالمي 2026»، الذي خُصص هذا العام لموضوع «الإتاحة والمساواة في التعليم»، بمقر منظمة اليونسكو في باريس.

و حظيت السعودية بحضور بارز في التقرير، مكّنها من استعراض منجزاتها النوعية في تطوير قطاع التعليم. وأشارت إلى أن نسبة الالتحاق بالتعليم الفني والمهني شهدت ارتفاعاً تجاوز 30% في عام 2024، في انعكاس مباشر لنجاح جهود إعادة هندسة المنظومة التعليمية ضمن مستهدفات رؤية 2030، من خلال برنامج تنمية القدرات البشرية.

وأشار وكيل وزارة التعليم إلى تحقيق جامعة الملك فهد للبترول والمعادن المرتبة 67 عالمياً وفق تصنيف (QS)، ودخول جامعات سعودية ضمن قائمة أفضل 100 جامعة عالمياً في براءات الاختراع لعام 2025، بما يعكس تنامي البيئة البحثية والابتكارية في المملكة. كما تم تسليط الضوء على نجاح برنامج «الابتعاث الاستراتيجي»، الذي يضم أكثر من 56 ألف مبتعث وأكد أن تجربة المملكة في مواءمة التعليم مع حاجات سوق العمل ورفع نسب الالتحاق بالتعليم التقني والمهني تمثل نموذجاً ملهماً للدول الراغبة في تحويل التحديات إلى فرص تنموية مستدامة ضمن إطار رؤية 2030.

The Ministry of Education revealed an increase in enrollment rates in post-secondary education, with the enrollment rate in higher education reaching 83.88%, achieving gender parity with a ratio of 1.01, according to data from the UNESCO Institute for Statistics.

The Assistant Minister of Education for Planning, Engineer Saad Al-Ghamdi, reviewed Saudi efforts in the field of education and stated that the number of beneficiaries from the “Study in Saudi Arabia” initiative has exceeded 200,000 international students, and efforts are ongoing to grant licenses to prestigious international universities to open branches in the Kingdom.

The announcement came during the ministry’s delegation’s participation in the high-level event to launch the “Global Education Monitoring Report 2026,” which this year focused on the theme of “Access and Equity in Education,” at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris.

Saudi Arabia had a prominent presence in the report, allowing it to showcase its qualitative achievements in developing the education sector. It noted that the enrollment rate in technical and vocational education witnessed an increase of over 30% in 2024, reflecting the success of efforts to re-engineer the educational system within the targets of Vision 2030, through the Human Capacity Development Program.

The Assistant Minister of Education pointed out that King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals ranked 67th globally according to the (QS) ranking, and that Saudi universities entered the list of the top 100 universities globally in patents for the year 2025, reflecting the growing research and innovation environment in the Kingdom. The success of the “Strategic Scholarship Program,” which includes more than 56,000 scholarship recipients, was also highlighted, and he emphasized that the Kingdom’s experience in aligning education with labor market needs and increasing enrollment rates in technical and vocational education represents an inspiring model for countries wishing to turn challenges into sustainable developmental opportunities within the framework of Vision 2030.
