واصلت السنغال تحديها لقرارات الاتحاد الأفريقي لكرة القدم (كاف)، إذ احتفلت بما تعتبره لقب كأس الأمم الأفريقية بين جماهيرها في فرنسا، وذلك قبل خوضها مباراة ودية أمام بيرو اليوم (السبت) على ملعب «ستاد دو فرانس» بالعاصمة الفرنسية باريس.

وكانت لجنة الاستئناف في «كاف» قد قررت تجريد المنتخب السنغالي من اللقب، واعتباره منسحبًا خلال نهائي البطولة أمام المغرب في يناير الماضي، في تطورٍ جاء بعد سلسلة من الاعتراضات والطعون القانونية.

وتعود تفاصيل الواقعة إلى اعتراض لاعبي السنغال على احتساب ركلة جزاء لصالح المغرب في اللحظات الأخيرة من المباراة، ما دفعهم إلى مغادرة أرض الملعب قبل أن يتدخل القائد ساديو ماني لإقناع زملائه بالعودة واستكمال اللقاء. وقد شهدت تلك اللحظات تصدي الحارس إدوارد ميندي لركلة الجزاء التي نفذها إبراهيم دياز، قبل أن تحسم السنغال المواجهة لصالحها بهدف دون رد في الوقت الإضافي وتتوج باللقب وفق ما جرى داخل الملعب.

لاحقًا، تقدم المنتخب المغربي باحتجاج رسمي إلى لجنة الانضباط، التي رفضت الاعتراض وأقرت بفوز السنغال بالبطولة. غير أن لجنة الاستئناف نقضت هذا القرار، واعتبرت السنغال خاسرة بنتيجة 3-0 في النهائي، مع منح اللقب للمغرب.

وفي المقابل، بادر الاتحاد السنغالي إلى الطعن في قرار لجنة الاستئناف أمام محكمة التحكيم الرياضية، التي لم تحدد بعد موعدًا لإصدار حكمها النهائي في القضية.

وفي سياق متصل، ظهر لاعبو المنتخب السنغالي خلال الاحتفال في فرنسا مرتدين قمصانًا تحمل نجمتين، في إشارة إلى عدد الألقاب التي يعتبرونها من حقهم في بطولة كأس الأمم الأفريقية. كما شارك قائد الفريق كاليدو كوليبالي في مراسم رمزية، حيث حمل الكأس وسط زملائه خلال احتفال مصغر تخلله عرض فني أحياه الفنان السنغالي يوسو ندور، قبل أن يقوم اللاعبون بجولة شرفية تبادلوا خلالها حمل الكأس على أرض الملعب.

Senegal continued to challenge the decisions of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), celebrating what they consider the Africa Cup of Nations title among their fans in France, ahead of their friendly match against Peru today (Saturday) at the Stade de France in the French capital, Paris.

The CAF Appeals Committee had decided to strip the Senegalese team of the title, considering them to have withdrawn during the final match against Morocco last January, in a development that came after a series of objections and legal appeals.

The details of the incident date back to the Senegalese players’ objection to a penalty awarded to Morocco in the final moments of the match, which led them to leave the pitch before captain Sadio Mané intervened to convince his teammates to return and complete the game. During those moments, goalkeeper Edouard Mendy saved the penalty taken by Ibrahim Diaz, before Senegal secured the victory with a goal to nil in extra time, thus claiming the title according to what transpired on the field.

Later, the Moroccan team filed an official protest to the Disciplinary Committee, which rejected the objection and confirmed Senegal’s victory in the tournament. However, the Appeals Committee overturned this decision, declaring Senegal the loser by a score of 3-0 in the final, awarding the title to Morocco.

In turn, the Senegalese Football Federation initiated an appeal against the Appeals Committee’s decision before the Court of Arbitration for Sport, which has yet to set a date for issuing its final ruling on the case.

In a related context, Senegalese players appeared during the celebration in France wearing shirts bearing two stars, in reference to the number of titles they consider their right in the Africa Cup of Nations. Team captain Kalidou Koulibaly also participated in symbolic ceremonies, carrying the trophy among his teammates during a mini-celebration that included a performance by Senegalese artist Youssou N’Dour, before the players took a ceremonial lap, exchanging the trophy on the pitch.
