أخبار لايت: وزير الرياضة: السعودية ستبقى جاهزة دائماً لاحتضان أكبر الأحداث الرياضية العالمية وفق أعلى المعايير – أخبار السعودية

أكد وزير الرياضة رئيس اللجنة الأولمبية والبارالمبية السعودية الأمير عبدالعزيز بن تركي بن فيصل أن قرار عدم إقامة الجولة الخامسة من سباق «فورمولا 1 جائزة السعودية الكبرى فورمولا 1 stc»، التي كان من المقرر أن تستضيفها المملكة خلال الفترة من (17-19) أبريل المقبل على حلبة كورنيش جدة، جاء من الجهة المنظمة، بعد أن أبدت المسببات لذلك، التي أرجعتها إلى الظروف الراهنة التي تمر بها المنطقة حاليًا.

وأعلن الاتحاد الدولي للسيارات وفورمولا 1 اليوم أن سباقي جائزتي البحرين الكبرى والسعودية الكبرى المقرر إقامتهما في شهر أبريل، إلى جانب جولات «الفورمولا 2» و«الفورمولا 3» وجولات أكاديمية «الفورمولا 1»، لن تقام في موعدها المحدد، مبينًا أنه على الرغم من النظر في البدائل، لن يتم إجراء أي استبدالات في أبريل.

وقال وزير الرياضة في تصريح صحفي بهذا الخصوص: «نحترم قرار الاتحاد الدولي للسيارات وفورمولا 1 بعدم إقامة السباق في وقته المحدد، ونؤكد للمجتمع الرياضي الدولي أن المملكة كانت على استعداد تام لاستضافة هذا السباق، الذي سبق أن نجحت في استضافته في خمس نسخ سابقة بكل نجاح واقتدار وتميّز، وأنها ستبقى وجهةً مفضلةً وموثوقةً للرياضيين ومحبي كل الرياضات».

وتابع وزير الرياضة: «بطولة فورمولا 1 واحدة من الأحداث الرياضية الكبرى التي تقام على أرض المملكة، وتحتضنها على مدار العام، وفق أعلى معايير التنظيم والأمن والسلامة، ونسعد دومًا باستقبال الرياضيين والجماهير من مختلف أنحاء العالم».

The Minister of Sports and President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal, confirmed that the decision to not hold the fifth round of the “Formula 1 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix,” which was scheduled to take place in the Kingdom from April 17-19 at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, came from the organizing body, after they presented the reasons for it, attributing it to the current circumstances in the region.

The International Automobile Federation and Formula 1 announced today that the Bahrain Grand Prix and the Saudi Grand Prix, scheduled for April, along with the “Formula 2” and “Formula 3” rounds and the “Formula 1” Academy rounds, will not take place on their scheduled dates, indicating that despite considering alternatives, no substitutions will be made in April.

The Minister of Sports stated in a press statement regarding this matter: “We respect the decision of the International Automobile Federation and Formula 1 to not hold the race at its scheduled time, and we assure the international sports community that the Kingdom was fully prepared to host this race, which it has successfully hosted in five previous editions with excellence and distinction, and it will remain a preferred and reliable destination for athletes and sports enthusiasts.”

The Minister of Sports continued: “The Formula 1 Championship is one of the major sporting events held in the Kingdom, and it is hosted throughout the year, according to the highest standards of organization, security, and safety, and we are always pleased to welcome athletes and fans from all over the world.”
