فيما يستعد رئيس الوزراء الهندي ناريندرا مودي لزيارة إسرائيل الأربعاء، دعت وزارة الخارجية الهندية، اليوم (الاثنين)، مواطنيها لمغادرة إيران، وذلك تخوفاً من هجوم أمريكي محتمل.

وقالت السفارة الهندية في طهران، إنّه في ضوء تطور الوضع في إيران، يُنصح المواطنون الهنود الموجودون حالياً في البلاد بمغادرتها عبر وسائل النقل المتاحة، بما في ذلك الرحلات التجارية، وتُقدّر «الخارجية الهندية» عدد مواطنيها المتواجدين في إيران بنحو عشرة آلاف شخص.

وقال رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو، في مستهل اجتماع حكومته، إن مودي سيلقي خطاباً أمام الكنيست، مشيداً بتطور العلاقات الثنائية خلال السنوات الأخيرة.

وأشار نتنياهو إلى أن إسرائيل تسعى إلى بناء تحالفات جديدة داخل الشرق الأوسط وخارجه، ترتكز على التعاون الاقتصادي والدبلوماسي والأمني، في مواجهة ما وصفه بأعداء مشتركين متطرفين.

من جهته، قال مودي في منشور عبر منصة «إكس»، إنه يتطلع إلى مناقشات مثمرة خلال زيارته لإسرائيل، مشيراً إلى أن بلاده تثمّن عالياً الصداقة الراسخة مع إسرائيل، المبنية على الثقة والابتكار والالتزام المشترك بالسلام والتقدّم.

وكان مودي قد زار إسرائيل عام 2017، في أول زيارة لرئيس وزراء هندي إلى الدولة العبرية، فيما زار نتنياهو الهند في العام التالي.

As Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi prepares to visit Israel on Wednesday, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs today (Monday) urged its citizens to leave Iran, citing concerns over a potential American attack.

The Indian embassy in Tehran stated that in light of the evolving situation in Iran, Indian citizens currently in the country are advised to leave using available means of transport, including commercial flights. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs estimates that around ten thousand of its citizens are present in Iran.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, at the start of his government meeting, said that Modi will deliver a speech before the Knesset, praising the development of bilateral relations in recent years.

Netanyahu noted that Israel is seeking to build new alliances both within the Middle East and beyond, based on economic, diplomatic, and security cooperation, in the face of what he described as common extremist enemies.

For his part, Modi stated in a post on the “X” platform that he looks forward to fruitful discussions during his visit to Israel, emphasizing that his country highly values the strong friendship with Israel, which is based on trust, innovation, and a shared commitment to peace and progress.

Modi had visited Israel in 2017, marking the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to the Jewish state, while Netanyahu visited India the following year.
