أخبار لايت: «الصحة» تستدعي طبيباً بعد محتوى مضلل عن «الستاتين».. وتؤكد: الأدوية آمنة ومعتمدة – أخبار السعودية

رصدت وزارة الصحة تداول معلومات مضللة عبر وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي بشأن أدوية الستاتين الخافضة للكوليسترول، وذلك على خلفية انتشار مقطع متداول يتناول هذه الأدوية، وما قد يترتب عليه من توقف بعض المرضى عن تناول علاجهم دون استشارة الطبيب المعالج، الأمر الذي قد يعرّضهم لمخاطر صحية مباشرة.

وأكدت أن أدوية خفض الكوليسترول، ومنها الستاتين، تُعد أدوية آمنة ومعتمدة دوليًا ومحليًا من الهيئة العامة للغذاء والدواء، وتُستخدم للوقاية من أمراض القلب والجلطات والحد من مضاعفاتها، مشددةً على أن أي قرار علاجي يجب أن يتم تحت إشراف طبي متخصص، كما أن استخدام العلاج دون استشارة الطبيب قد يعرّض المرضى لمخاطر صحية.

وبيّنت الوزارة أنه جرى استدعاء الطبيب الذي ظهر بالمحتوى المغلوط، للاستماع إلى أقواله حيال ما تم تداوله، مضيفةً أنها بدأت باتخاذ الإجراءات النظامية اللازمة بحق كل من يثبت نشره معلومات طبية مضللة أو مخالفة لأخلاقيات المهنة الصحية؛ حفاظًا على الصحة العامة.

ودعت «الصحة» المجتمع إلى استقاء المعلومات من المصادر الطبية المعتمدة، وعدم الانسياق خلف المعلومات غير الدقيقة، مهيبةً بالوسائل الإعلامية تحري الدقة عند تناول الموضوعات الصحية، ومؤكدة ضرورة التزام الممارسين الصحيين بأخلاقيات المهنة وتجنّب التصريحات غير الموثوقة، حفاظًا على سلامة المجتمع وتعزيزًا للوعي الصحي.

The Ministry of Health has monitored the circulation of misleading information on social media regarding statin medications that lower cholesterol, following the spread of a viral video discussing these drugs, which may lead some patients to stop taking their treatment without consulting their physician, potentially exposing them to direct health risks.

The Ministry confirmed that cholesterol-lowering medications, including statins, are considered safe and are internationally and locally approved by the General Authority for Food and Drug, and are used to prevent heart diseases and strokes and to reduce their complications. It emphasized that any therapeutic decision should be made under the supervision of a specialized medical professional, and that using treatment without consulting a doctor may expose patients to health risks.

The Ministry indicated that the doctor who appeared in the misleading content has been summoned to hear his statements regarding what has been circulated, adding that it has begun taking necessary legal actions against anyone proven to have disseminated misleading medical information or violated the ethics of the health profession, in order to protect public health.

The Ministry called on the community to obtain information from accredited medical sources and not to be swayed by inaccurate information, urging media outlets to ensure accuracy when discussing health topics, and reaffirming the necessity for health practitioners to adhere to professional ethics and avoid unreliable statements, in order to safeguard community safety and enhance health awareness.
