ابدى رئيس الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم « جياني إنفانتينو » ، استيائه من واقعة العنصرية تجاه اللاعب البرازيلي «فينيسيوس جونيور »،مواجهة بنفيكا البرتغالي وريال مدريد الإسباني ضمن منافسات دوري أبطال، وكتب « جياني إنفانتينو » في تصريحات عبر حسابه الرسمي على منصة انستغرام :« لقد صُدمتُ وحزنتُ لرؤية حادثة العنصـرية المزعومة تجاه فينيسيوس جونيور في مباراة دوري أبطال أوروبا بين بنفيكا وريال مدريد» .

وتابع: «لا مكان للعنصــرية على الإطلاق في رياضتنا ومجتمعنا نحن بحاجة إلى جميع الجهات المعنية لاتخاذ إجراءات ومحاسبة المسؤولين» .

وواصل: «في الفيفا، من خلال الموقف العالمي ضد العنصـ*ـرية ولجنة صوت اللاعبين، نحن ملتزمون بضمان احترام اللاعبين والمسؤولين والجماهير وحمايتهم، واتخاذ الإجراءات المناسبة عند وقوع الحوادث».

واختتم: «أُشيد بالحكم فرانسوا ليتكسير لتفعيله بروتوكول مكافحة العنصــرية باستخدام إشارة الذراع لإيقاف المباراة ومعالجة الموقف. يُظهر الفيفا وكرة القدم تضامنًا كاملاً مع ضحايا العنصـ*ـرية وأي شكل من أشكال التمييــز. سأستمر دائمًا في التأكيد على: لا للعنصــرية! لا لأي شكل من أشكال التميــيز!».

The President of the International Football Federation, “Gianni Infantino,” expressed his discontent regarding the incident of racism towards Brazilian player “Vinicius Junior” during the match between Portuguese Benfica and Spanish Real Madrid in the Champions League. “Gianni Infantino” wrote in statements on his official Instagram account: “I was shocked and saddened to see the alleged racist incident towards Vinicius Junior in the Champions League match between Benfica and Real Madrid.”

He continued: “There is absolutely no place for racism in our sport and society. We need all stakeholders to take action and hold those responsible accountable.”

He added: “At FIFA, through the global stance against racism and the Players’ Voice Committee, we are committed to ensuring the respect and protection of players, officials, and fans, and to taking appropriate action when incidents occur.”

He concluded: “I commend referee Francois Letexier for activating the anti-racism protocol by using the arm signal to stop the match and address the situation. FIFA and football show full solidarity with the victims of racism and any form of discrimination. I will always continue to emphasize: No to racism! No to any form of discrimination!”
