أخبار لايت: انطلاق أعمال الاجتماع الطارئ لمجلس جامعة الدول العربية لبحث مواجهة قرارات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي – أخبار السعودية

انطلقت اليوم (الأربعاء) بمقر الأمانة العامة لجامعة الدول العربية أعمال الدورة غير العادية لمجلس جامعة الدول العربية على مستوى المندوبين الدائمين، لبحث سُبل التحرك العربي والدولي لمواجهة القرارات العدوانية لحكومة الاحتلال الإسرائيلي بشأن توسيع الاستيطان في الضفة الغربية.

وتنعقد الدورة غير العادية بناءً على طلب دولة فلسطين وتأييد الدول الأعضاء، بمشاركة الأمين العام المساعد رئيس قطاع فلسطين والأراضي العربية المحتلة بالجامعة العربية السفير الدكتور فائد مصطفى، وبحضور مندوبي الدول الأعضاء أو من يمثلهم.

ومثل المملكة في الاجتماع المندوب الدائم لدى جامعة الدول العربية السفير عبدالعزيز بن عبدالله المطر.

وتناقش الدورة سُبل التحرك لمواجهة الإجراءات الإسرائيلية الأخيرة التي تهدف إلى توسيع الاستيطان الاستعماري وهدم المنازل والاستيلاء على الأراضي الخاصة والعامة، ونقل صلاحيات بلدية الخليل إلى ما يسمى «الإدارة المدنية» التابعة لسلطات الاحتلال، بما يمس مكانة ووضعية الحرم الإبراهيمي الشريف.

Today (Wednesday), the extraordinary session of the Arab League Council at the level of permanent representatives commenced at the headquarters of the Arab League General Secretariat, to discuss ways for Arab and international action to confront the aggressive decisions of the Israeli occupation government regarding the expansion of settlements in the West Bank.

The extraordinary session is being held at the request of the State of Palestine and with the support of the member states, with the participation of the Assistant Secretary-General and Head of the Palestine and Arab Territories Sector at the Arab League, Ambassador Dr. Faed Mustafa, and in the presence of representatives of the member states or their delegates.

The Kingdom was represented at the meeting by the permanent representative to the Arab League, Ambassador Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Matar.

The session will discuss ways to confront the recent Israeli measures aimed at expanding colonial settlements, demolishing homes, seizing private and public lands, and transferring the municipal powers of Hebron to what is known as the “civil administration” affiliated with the occupation authorities, which affects the status and position of the Ibrahimi Mosque.
