لقي جنديان حتفهما جراء تحطم مروحية عسكرية في إقليم غيوننغي غربي كوريا الجنوبية.
وقالت السلطات العسكرية إن مروحية عسكرية من طراز «إيه إتش-1 إس كوبرا» تحطمت في غابيونغ على بعد نحو 55 كيلومترا شمال شرق العاصمة سول بعد إقلاعها للتدريب.
وأوضحت أن الحادث لم يتضمن أي حرائق أو انفجارات، وإنها تجري التحقيق في السبب الدقيق للحادث.
ووقع الحادث أثناء تدريب طيران يهدف إلى تعريف أفراد الطاقم بإجراءات الهبوط الاضطراري.
وفي مارس الماضي، أفادت القوات الكورية الجنوبية عن وقوع حادث تصادم بين طائرة مسيرة عسكرية ومروحية متوقفة في قاعدة «يانغجو» الجوية شمال سول دون أن يسفر عن وقوع إصابات.
Two soldiers were killed in a military helicopter crash in the Gyeonggi Province of South Korea.
Military authorities stated that an AH-1S Cobra military helicopter crashed in Gapyeong, about 55 kilometers northeast of the capital Seoul, shortly after taking off for training.
They clarified that the incident did not involve any fires or explosions, and an investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the accident.
The incident occurred during a flight training aimed at familiarizing crew members with emergency landing procedures.
Last March, South Korean forces reported a collision between a military drone and a stationary helicopter at the Yangju Air Base north of Seoul, which did not result in any injuries.
